On the first day of my school after a long vacation, my mother declared I was lazy, because I snoozed my alarm every day, spent a lot time in shower, took about half an hour to finish my lunch, ate dinner very slowly, rarely listen to mom, and devoted my abundant time to my XBOX.
Whenever you thought the opening date of school is nearby, you got depressed, you took glimpse of the whole vacation, you went to meet your friend and he told something to you which was very important and you totally forget about it, “Vacation Assignments”. Those assignments, projects were eclipse to everyone’s vacation (I thought those assignments had direct relation to my depression).
My mom believed that I was lazy as well as dumb, so she helped me in my assignment work (that was very helpful for me) and she checked it three times before the opening date of school.
St. Xavier's International English School, I read the name before entering in school. On the first day of the school, of course, I felt depressing as hell. I took a long breath and walked towards the classroom. Teacher was not arrived so I directly entered in the classroom. Pratik was my one and only friend in school, he chose the last third bench. I noticed Pratik because as I entered in classroom he called my name loudly and asked me to join him. Last third bench, it’s fine, I had no option than this. New start of 10th grade class on last bench, too good.
Mr. Sharma entered in the classroom, the 10th grade teacher and the only strict person in the whole school. The most deadly thing was, school principal made him our class counselor. And here it started, he gave us glimpse of the syllabus, gave us warnings not to talk, not to laugh and not to share anything in lecture.
Then we introduced ourselves: Name, favorite subject, last year percentage, hobbies. I’m Arjun, history, 56.32%, playing XBOX. When all done with their introduction Mr. Sharma asked if anyone wanted to share the vacation memories related to education or something interesting and educational, then some jerks (we called them toppers) starts their experience sharing movies. The only interesting personality was Neha, long faced, skinny girl, because she talked to Mr. Sharma a lot about her experience and wasted teacher’s half of the lecture.
After few weeks, I tired my level best to improve myself in study, but everyday I got punished in the school. My little brain gave a suggestion to leave the school. I sat on the couch with my mom watching the movie, I had already seen but still:
Me: “I am not going to school from tomorrow”
Mom: “Why, What happened?”
Me: “I get punished everyday, I tried my level best in study but still. I think I am not made for study”
Mom: “OK, then what are you going to do after leaving the school?”
Me: “I don’t know that!!!”
Mom: “You can work as milkman or paper-man”
Me: “No mom!!!”
Mom: “You make this choice yourself, now do such thing to earn money, we are not going to give you money”
Me: “No mom Pleaseee……”
Mom: “Then go to your bed, it’s too late and tomorrow is your school, you want to get up early”
That conversation shut me up, I agreed too.
On the next day my mom dropped me to the school, “Do you want me to come and meet to your teacher, not to punish you again?”
“No, mom it’s all OK”, I said adjusting my bag.
“Enjoy the day”, she said and rolled up the window as I went in.
A girl was staring at me.
I was quite sure that I’d never seen her before. Long open hairs, beautiful eyes with some eye liner in it, a simple nose ring made her beautiful face more fascinating, her earing was like little stars, perfectly shaped nails with red nail polish on it and she had cute smile with perfectly curved body.
I looked away, I felt nervous. I was wearing the same shirt on which a big stain of ink was present. I didn’t like that shirt and my hairs also, to much oil in it (behind this hairstyle, all credits goes to my mom). I knew how dumb I was looking at that point. I cut eye contact to her, but her eyes still on me.
I looked at the blackboard, in the textbook. I repeated that cycle two three times and put a glance on her, she was still looking at me. I got little jolt thinking, why she was looking at me. I knew myself very well that I was not that handsome and charming to attract any girl.
OK…. she was gorgeous, had cutest smile, and fascinating eyes in whole class…. the best part was she was looking at me….. That’s good.
Mr. Sharma started new chapter, I opened my textbook, looked in it, but all my attention was at her. I wrote the whole happened thing on the piece of the paper and passed it to Pratik. He took that piece of paper, read it, and gave me a shocked look asking the girl’s name. I already knew that girl’s bench number where she was seating, I showed her to Pratik by my eye moments.
Teacher stopped teaching as the bell rang and told us about the new admission in the class. He asked the new admission to give their short introduction to the whole class.
The same girl who was staring at me stood up at her place and said, “Hello everyone, I am Aishwarya”
That name tickled in my heart. Why, I never knew. I felt happy that day. Why, I never knew. I put that name in my mind and decided to look for her over the Social Media that day itself. I was completely unaware of the beautiful moments which were going to happen in my life after that one search.
